Checked the site, it is down. I had my answer long before. :-) I never said no media. I only said, “not ALL”. They do play a big role in the wave of patriotism I feel right now, and the way the whole India thinks alike for the time being.

On a side note, I was reading about Kargil war to watch the movie “Kurukshethra” and was reading the role of media in it. The live telecasts in those times have helped the patriotic wave and also in influencing the international opinion. On researching further, I happened to come across an interesting piece. How Burkha Dutt from NDTV used her reporting and camera unwisely which made pakistanis recognize Indian army positions and a few soldiers were killed due to her achievement drive. Ofcourse she came into limelight, so also the martyrs, but is there no such thing called ethics?
