Good post. :-) I could see myself in ur shoes...
When my husband and I moved to a 2 bed room apartment after marriage, I found it difficult to deal with the big joint family of cockroaches already living there..My soft corner for creatures made me avoid them in the beginning, but, later, I found myself killing all of them mercilessly...

I can relate to this very well because these "pazhutharas" were a kinda daily thing in my Kerala home. In Mumbai though, I have seen only one in the last 4 years. And just in case you are interested, the easiest way to get rid of a pazhu is just a little hot water. Put on the geyser, take half a mug of hot water, pour on the pazhu, and its instant death! Cruelty, maybe, but its much faster and easier than a Paragon! All the best. :)
