RPG Retail once upon a time ran the largest music retail store in Asia, selling cassettes, CDs and DVDs. The store, spread over 7,000 sq ft was located on the eponymous Park Street in Kolkata. 

As part of the assignment, Shriram was instrumental in achieving highest ever monthly sales of INR 96 lakhs in 2001, selling cassettes priced at INR 27 each on an average and Audio CDs priced at INR 299 each. 

During his stint, Shriram drove the sales of Hindi genre of music, especially the CDs to discerning, high net worth consumers by offering demos on the iconic Nakamichi listening posts. 

With experimental sales techniques deployed by the sales team, the store was a beaming icon in India in the Specialty Retail Industry during the early 2000s.
